It’s almost time!

The Take Up & read community will begin our study of Call Me Blessed on January 20. We’re beyond excited about this beautiful book. Call Me Blessed explores the lives of 19 different women in the Bible! This book follows our traditional format of Scripture passages and reflections, with space to journal, while also weaving quotes from Pope Saint John Paul II’s encyclical, On the Dignity and Vocation of Women, into each day’s meditation. Together, these aspects create a powerful study on the genius of femininity, God's beautiful design for women.

Because the women studied within  Call Me Blessed are so varied and diverse, this book would be a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend to study with you or to gather a group. The stories of these Biblical women include relatable struggles, such as infertility, sin, and widowhood, and there are many well-known figures, like Esther and Ruth. But this study also delves into the stories of some lesser known Biblical women, bringing new inspiration and insight to the reader.

A group guide is available for free, to help you get the conversation going. Or, if you’d prefer to hunker down in the coziness of your own home, study on your own, and maybe share in the conversation online right here, or on Instagram, or Facebook.

We can’t wait to see how much you love this study.
